Venue, Travel, and Accomodation

The Bodensee (Lake Constance) is the biggest lake in central Europe, located on the border of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The city of Bregenz is picturesquely located on the eastern shores of Lake Constance, nicely overviewing the panorama of the lake and the Alpes. Its water comes from the river Rhine; the Rhine falls are close by. The Bodensee area is one of Germany`s famous wine areas; in August there is usually warm sunny weather, so that archeological and cultural highlights in the region (e.g. the pile dwellings in Unteruhlingen, the Festspielhaus in Bregenz etc.) can be visited. The Bodensee can be reached via the international airports of Munich or Zürich, or via national commuters to Friedrichshafen airport.
Hotel rooms will be made available for the meeting in all categories for preregistered participants in hotels conveniently located close to the convention venue.
